Thanks. This is very informative. Is it a big task to get some of the
Mozilla-derived programs packaged in a good shape?
I ask this because I could try to dive in, but I'm not sure how deep are
the waters. I would, OTOH, like to see a smaller combo browser that I
could use in some constrained situations like what I described.
BTW, in the mean time since I sent you this message, I downloaded the
seamonkey sources from Ubuntu and compiling it turned out to be quite a
surprise: a HUGE amount of warnings, some of which are potentially
dangerous (like casting a pointer to an integer in a 64-bit arch and
things like that).
The code could use some cleanup, surely.
But I have one question before that: how many of the Mozilla projects
depend on xulrunner? I see that both iceweasel and icedove are
moderately big packages (especially for live distributions) and that
they don't seem to share as much code as I imagine that they could (but
I'm really a layman here and you are in a much better position than me
to talk about this).
Well, consider this an offer of help, even if given by someone that
isn't qualified enough for the job right now (but I can always learn).
Thanks, Rogério Brito.
