Why is it taking so long to package the new versions of iceweasel?

I am aware that debian is a volunteer project, which sometimes has its
drawbacks, however some explanation from package the maintainers would
put the community anxiety at ease. This months old unanswered thread
on such an important package only leaves the felling that something is
wrong.

Thank you in advance!
