Bug#587288: images now loading in srtips, sometimes still left on screen

Lately images get loaded with lots of horizontal slices left on the
screen.

I cannot take a screenshot, unless with a real camera (ask me if
necessary) as gimp will only capture the intended picture. Also
switching the window back and forth (ALT-TAB) will clear the problem.

Note that they only look bad on the first view. Setting images.dither
doesn't help it seems.

Happens on Facebook to. Even the tiny ads.

Firefox probably assumes the image is read off the modem line fast
enough so the user doesn't notice the effect. And also mistimes the
final arrival, so that sometimes the stripes are left sitting on the
screen.

Downgrading Firefox doesn't fix it. It must have be a helper package
recently upgraded that is causing it.
