Hi Fabio,

The Debian MIA team recently contacted me about your status in Debian.
galeon has been maintained by NMUs since mid 2009. At this point galeon
remains quite popular in Debian (~1000 popcon votes) despite being very
much dead upstream and fairly dead in Debian.

Do you still intend to maintain galeon within Debian? Please respond
ASAP.

If I don't hear from you by March 23rd 2010, I will presume that you are
MIA and that you don't intend to maintain galeon. Since I don't intend
to maintain galeon either (despite it currently being my primary
browser), I will make an upload fixing some of the easy-to-fix issues
and officially orphaning the package. If no-one steps up to maintain it
by DebConf10, I'll request removal from the archive. I think that time
period is appropriate, given its popularity. I'll probably blog about
the orphaning and proposed removal too.

Of course, if you do intend to maintain it, please speak up. To show
that you still intend to maintain it, an upload fixing some of the
issues listed on the PTS would be appreciated. I'll be on vacation in
Thailand next week so I won't be able to sponsor you until the Thai
DebCamp starts on March 13th, I assume the Debian Mozilla team would be
willing to do that in my place.
