Bug#600315: iceweasel: link clicked in another app is not opened, if the "update extensions" dialog is shown

If I click on a link in aome application, Iceweasel is about to be
started to show that link. This usually works. However, if the
dialog that checks for updates of the installed extensions
shows up before starting Iceweasel, the requested link is not
opened.

I see this for years now, but only a few times a year, so it
is not easily reproducible for me with the upstream Firefox.
