This issue exists for years, now, but even version 4
didn't fix it. Sorry if I didn't find the corresponding
bug report - but this is what I observe:
When I want to save a file from within iceweasel (say
some pdf), the file dialogue is called to open. But
until this dialogue gets responsive (although there are
some contents showing up initially), neither the dialogue
pane nor any other iceweasel window resonses in terms of
redraw (see attached screenshot). The window manager
still handles those windows' frames, but usually this is
a moment I switch to any other task like writing mails or
anything else, because I know that my browser will be
dysfunctional for the next minutes to come!
Actually, I have some other browsers installed as replacement
during such moments... But I still want to stick to iceweasel!
Maybe this is important to know: I am running KDE4.
