Will backports at mozilla.debian.net be reviving regular security updates?

Hello.

In light of Google's decision to drop support for FF 3.5 in Google
Apps[1], I'm going to need to upgrade the version of Iceweasel on my
Squeeze machines. I'm hoping the backports available from
<http://mozilla.debian.net/> will meet my needs. Is it the intention 
of the Mozilla maintainers to provide timely security updates to these
packages?  

The inability to check Gmail with the version of IceWeasel included
with Squeeze is going to make a big mess for all involved.
