Bug#628049: iceweasel: Hangs on startup after removing pcscd

I recently acquired a smartcard (for storing security certificates) which uses the
pcscd package and configured Iceweasel to use it.
Then I removed pcscd and now Iceweasel hangs on startup. From strace:

With a newly created profile (without a smartcard) it does start.
Reinstalling pcscd makes iceweasel start again with my old profile.

I've verified this issue with version 3.5.19-2 and 4.0.1-2 .
