Yes, we're aware, thanks! :)  thunderbird 17 was not released at the
time that debian's release process froze the archive for wheezy,
unfortunately.

That depends which repo you're looking at.  Debian's experimental
repository has icedove 17.0.2, and is currently being actively
maintained.  Which repo were you referring to?
