Did you try disabling all plugins and addons?

Mike

Hi, I think I did that - I disabled the plugins in the iceweasel settings !

Some more information on what I did on this machine:

1) Before, there was a "i386" 32bit-Debian Wheezy installed on this machine, but I had to install the "amd64" 64-bit wheezy. The "/home" drive is on a seperate harddisk.
--> I did install the 64-bit wheezy on the machine
--> then I mounted the existing "/home" folder (from the external harddrive, from the previously 32-Bit system) again under "/home"
--> I suspected that there might be some 32-Bit settings in my "/home/.mozilla" folder causing the freeze

2) I moved the "/.mozilla" folder to "./mozilla_old"
--> then I completly purged "iceweasel" with configuration files
--> then I installed "iceweasel" again (from the amd64 repos of course)
--> but it still freezes my computer on "www.bild.de<http://www.bild.de>"

3) The plugins installed (but deactivated in iceweasel) are:
- gnome-shell-integration
- icedTea-web plugin
- iTunes-application-detector
- shockwave flash
Add-Ons (but deactivated in iceweasel):
-adblock plus 2.1
Language pack (deactivated in iceweasel):
- german (DE)

Some questions I have for debugging:
a) Are there settings (for iceweasel or plugins/add-ons) from the previous 32-bit system stored in other folders than "/.mozilla" ?
b )How can I run iceweasel in "gdb" to get a file-dump to do a post-mortem analysis ?
c) Do I need the "iceweasel-dbg" package ? And if yes, how can I do it
d) How can I support you with more information about the issue ?

Holger
