Hi
i'm trying to install iceweasel release from debian experimental (deb
http://ftp.ca.debian.org/debian experimental main) via the instructions
given on mozilla.debian.org.
My system is running the latest debian testing.
Unfortunately, I'm unable to install, as I get the following issue:
jarrett at debian:~$ sudo aptitude install -t experimental iceweasel
The following NEW packages will be installed:
libmozjs19d{a} xulrunner-19.0{ab}
The following packages will be REMOVED:
xulrunner-10.0{u}
The following packages will be upgraded:
iceweasel
1 packages upgraded, 2 newly installed, 1 to remove and 683 not upgraded.
Need to get 16.8 MB of archives. After unpacking 18.6 MB will be used.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
xulrunner-19.0 : Depends: libnss3 (>= 2:3.14) but 2:3.13.6-2 is installed.
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:
Remove the following
packages:
1)
gnome
2)
gnome-core
3)
iceweasel
4)
task-gnome-desktop
5)
xul-ext-firebug
Keep the following packages at their current
version:
6) xulrunner-19.0 [Not
Installed]
Leave the following dependencies
unresolved:
7) task-desktop recommends task-gnome-desktop | task-kde-desktop |
task-lxde-desktop | task-xfce-desktop
8) task-gnome-desktop recommends
gnome
9) task-gnome-desktop recommends iceweasel
The alternative solutions are not disirable (i.e. don't install, or it
asks me toremove a crap tonne of packages)
Any idea how I can fix this? As a side note, if I change the
sources.list to use the mozilla ESR release (deb
http://mozilla.debian.net/ experimental iceweasel-esr), aptitude doesn't
seem to have an issue.
Cheers
