Health warning needed on instructions for installing latest Icedove on Wheezy

Hello there,

I have for some time kept my Iceweasel installation up to date using the 
instructions to be found at http://mozilla.debian.net/

The other day I realised there were also instructions there for updating 
Icedove on Wheezy, and I made the mistake of following them.

The trouble is, if you add the indicated repository, you not only get a 
newer Icedove, it also pulls in the latest glib (2.36), which in its 
turn breaks Gnome 3 (see bug 708185), leaving things in rather a mess.

I now need to work out how to remove the new Icedove and revert my 
libraries.
