OK. Your guess is probably right.
Trying with both upstream 29 (currently, aurora: an  'alpha' release)
and iceweasel 24

29 does not show the bug, 24 shows it.

Mike, correct me if I am wrong but, AFAIK, iceweasel is using the
libraries provided by Debian while
upstream ships patched versions of upstream libraries.
