Icedove 24.2.0 urgency

Synchronising the iceowl-extension calendar with google calendar has not 
been working for some time.  It seems as if this is because of the 
changes discussed here:
https://blog.mozilla.org/calendar/2013/09/google-is-changing-the-location-url-of-their-caldav-calendars/

According to that article "Thunderbird 24 and install Lightning 2.6" are 
required to get the synchronisation working again.  Can the urgency for 
getting Icedove 24 etc. into testing be raised?
