Session restore broken in Iceweasel 30.0

This evening I noticed the new Aurora release of Iceweasel (30.0) was
available, so I installed it (specifically, 30.0~a2+20140321004003-1)

After I restarted Iceweasel, I was dismayed to discover it didn't
restore my tabs as per usual. In fact, session restore in general seems
to be broken:

    $ rm -rf /tmp/firefox-test-profile/
    $ mkdir /tmp/firefox-test-profile/
    $ iceweasel -profile /tmp/firefox-test-profile/
    (Open Add-ons Manager, disable Adblock Plus which is installed
	system-wide because it's a hard dependency of the GNOME
	metapackage for some bizzare reason)
    (Open Preferences -> General and change "When Iceweasel starts:" to
	"Show my windows and tabs from last time")
    (Shut down Iceweasel by clicking the close button on the window
	frame)
    $ iceweasel -profile /tmp/firefox-test-profile/
    (Navigate to www.debian.org)
    (Shut down Iceweasel by clicking the close button on the window
	frame)
    $ iceweasel -profile /tmp/firefox-test-profile/

Expected results: Iceweasel opens, displaying the Debian homepage.

Actual results: Iceweasel opens, displaying the Iceweasel start page.

Interestingly, the /tmp/firefox-test-profile/ directory does not contain
a "sessionstore.js" file, even an empty one.

Any ideas what could be going on here?

Another thing I just noticed: on the Iceweasel Start Page, there's a big
Iceweasel logo, and a text-box with a button labelled "Search". Typing
text in the box and clicking Search, or hitting Enter, does absolutely
nothing. This is the first time in my life I've ever tried to use that
text-box, so it's not a big deal, just thought I'd mention it.

Tim.
