For this one, it appears that upstream provides something[*]
(I don't know whether this is complete), but I didn't see
anything with the Debian upgrade.

Well, the goal of -no-remote is that Iceweasel shouldn't try to
connect to a running version (I'm using this option for testing
because I don't want to kill the running instance). So, this is
broken again. The real message should have something like the
profile is locked (after spending some time, it seems to be the
real problem). Unfortunately upstream doesn't want to fix the
message in this case. Trying to test with -safe-mode is rather
discouraging...
