Meta data for XUL based applications

Hi,

while looking through the occurrences of Lintian's tag
unknown-field-in-control[1], I noticed that Xul-AppId is not noticed
as known field in Lintian despite I remember that there were a team
policy that mandated its use.

Since I planned to fix that in Lintian, I tried to dig up the
according documentation. But all I found was this mail from Benjamin
from December 2009 (full mail at [2]):

> I am working on improving mozilla-devscripts for packaging XUL
> extensions [1]. The current version of mozilla-devscripts contains a
> hardcoded list of XUL based applications and their start and end of life
> versions. Instead of hardcoding these information, the applications
> itself should provide the information. Please add following information
> to your binary package in debian/control:
>
> Xb-Xul-AppId:
> Xb-Xul-Eol:

But in Jessie's mozilla-devscripts package I find no more trace of
working with an Xul-AppId header. And while Conkeror and Icedove
packages still shipp that header, Iceweasel no more does.

Is this header no more needed?
