Bug#757015: #757015, Iceweasel Bookmark Folders cannot be created, Debian for PowerPC

Regarding Iceweasel 31.6.0 (PowerPC version) Bookmarks.

Please consider this bug in the context of an inability to create
Bookmark Folders at any level, not just a problem with the Bookmarks
Toolbar.

I have done a new install of Debian PowerPC on an Apple iMac desktop
machine. In Iceweasel 31.6.0 if I invoke the "New Folder" dialogue I
get what appears to be the facility to create a new bookmark, i.e.
multiple fields including that for URL.

I have tried restoring the .json bookmarks file saved from a working
version of Firefox. After import the expected folder names are seen in
the Bookmarks Library but they are not recognised as folders.

I tried deleting the places.sqlite file so that Iceweasel recreates it,
and tried the "Reset Iceweasel to its default state" function. No
change to problem.

I confirm that bookmarks can be created, but not the folders in which
to organise them.
