I'd use unstable as that's currently closest. (But won't be forerver.)
The wheezy-backports likely have dependencies on libraries which are
no more in Jessie.
Then again, if you don't switch back and forth, the old libraries
which are already dependencies of the packages built for Wheezy won't
be removed until you remove the last (Wheezy) package depending on
them. So you may also keep wheezy-backports. You only won't get
security updates for those libraries.
