Shall iceweasel be considered as a separate browser

Hi Iceweasel maintainers,

in a Piwik issue [0], I proposed that Piwik should track Iceweasel in
the same segment as Firefox, as discussed years ago [1], as my
understanding is that Iceweasel is the same browser as Firefox, as it
"just" resolved smaller licensing issues which Debian had with Firefox.

As I'm not really sure about it, I'd be curious to hear the opinion of
the Iceweasel maintainers on that issue: Is Iceweasel a different
browser or is it Firefox?
