Firefox release for stretch

Dear maintainers,

is there a possibility of getting firefox release into stretch as a
backport? Currently the archive has only firefox-esr, and firefox
(release) is only in unstabile, no backport is available and
mozilla.debian.net offers no more files.

Would it be possible to get it into backports? Else, are there plans to
revive mozilla.debian.net?
