    refactor debian/rules to avoid sub makes
    
    By removing the "common" build target, the generation of architechture
    independent packages could be greatly simplified. Building of
    architecture independent packages no longer require an extra ./configure
    just for HTML documentation by faking a 'config.mak' file. Moreover,
    mplayer-doc no longer contains manpages, these are included in the
    regular packages.

    reorganize binary packages to no longer install the gui version by default
    
    the following renamings have been done:
    
    mplayer-nogui -> mplayer
    mplayer       -> mplayer-gui
    
    mplayer-nogui is now a transitional package, depending on mplayer

    remove DEB_BUILD_CONFIGURE override hack
    
    This is done to simplify handling of DEB_BUILD_CONFIGURE and
    greatly simplify handling of debian/README.Debian
    
    This file used to be generated depending on the name of the source
    package. This patch installs a static copy of README.Debian with only
    relevant comments merged from the other fragments.

    cleanup --configure flags
    
    These changes were discussed with Diego and Carl-Eugen at
    Fosdem2010. Many switches that the debian package uses don't have real
    effect and can be dropped without any effects on the resulting binary
    packages in debian.  However, it seems that in the wild users just look
    at the switches and copy them for local builds. This is very confusing
    in bugreports and causes unrelated bugs to appear in e.g. launchpad
    queries.
    
    This patch therefore greatly simplifies the configure line, mostly by
    remove unnecessary configure flags. Another simplification is by
    dropping special win32, real and xanim related configure flags.
