The following commit has been merged in the experimental branch:
commit 20843f51e7f6652a7aa65f2b1afa5e961ad948ff
Author: Måns Rullgård <mans at mansr.com>
Date: Wed Jun 23 00:08:21 2010 +0000

    Remove OS/2 threads support

OS/2 SMP support is rare, and a pthreads library exists.
No need to keep this code.
