| I can read /usr/share/doc/mutt/manual.txt.gz directly with vim and
| emacs with no doubts. zgrep, zless and zmore are showing everything
| well. I can't reproduce either.
Here is test:
$ dpkg -l | grep mutt
ii mutt 1.8.0-1 i386 (...)
$ dpkg -L mutt | grep manual.txt
/usr/share/doc/mutt/manual.txt.gz
$ gzip -dc /usr/share/doc/mutt/manual.txt.gz | head -15 > mutt-extract.txt
$ file mutt-extract.txt
mutt-extract.txt: ASCII text, with overstriking
Notice "overstriking":
$ nano mutt-extract.txt
