What is the status of this bug now?  I've lost enough drafts due to my
laptop's acpi not triggering a "low battery, hibernate NOW!" that I've
lost count...and am now looking into how best to configure where mutt
stores WIP drafts.

Wouldn't the least disruptive way to do this be to set compose dir on
stable storage only when mutt is started without '-F config' or when
~/.muttrc does not exist?  That way existing users are not affected
and new users never experience the nasty surprise of lost drafts.
