The purpose of the pkg-mwavem project on alioth was to support the
packaging of mwavem for Debian. The mwavem package was released to
experimental in 2001 and then to unstable in 2002. The last version of
the package, 2.0-4, was released in 2009 to unstable Squeeze but was
later removed before Squeeze was released. The reasons for removal
were that the code was unsupported upstream, that it contained
non-free binary blobs, that the package had fewer than five users
according to popcon, that it FTBFS and that the Debian maintainers
were not willing to spend time fixing this.
