[Pkg-net-snmp-devel] Bug#509562: libsnmp-python: What about fixing this trivial bug?

Hi!
Bug reported December 2008, half year ago, no feedback :-(
Is it possible to get at least a statement of the maintainers? It's
really annoying to edit python files which are installed by a package to
fix bugs which are solved by simple patches which are available in the
BTS :-(((
