Package: snmpd
Version: 5.7.2.1+dfsg-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch

Dear Maintainer,

I have a pass_persist extension that works well except when I send a set
operation with type OctetString or OID that goes to the extension.
In that case snmpd stops processing incoming queries and hangs up.

The bug, its cause and its solution is well described elsewhere (see link).
A patch is also provided there.

https://github.com/winlibs/net-snmp/issues/1

Comparing the patch and 5.7.3+dfsg-1.7 sources, it doesn't seem to be
(completely) fixed.

Please fix this in stable. Thanks!
