Package: net-tools
Version: 1.60-22
Severity: important
It seems that for gigabit links, half and full duplex are
switched.
dmesg shows:
[ 91.259774] tg3: eth0: Link is up at 1000 Mbps, full duplex.
[ 91.259778] tg3: eth0: Flow control is on for TX and on for RX.
mii-tool -v:
eth0: negotiated 1000baseT-HD flow-control, link ok
product info: vendor 00:08:18, model 26 rev 2
basic mode: autonegotiation enabled
basic status: autonegotiation complete, link ok
capabilities: 1000baseT-HD 1000baseT-FD 100baseTx-FD 100baseTx-HD 10baseT-FD 10baseT-HD
advertising: 1000baseT-HD 1000baseT-FD 100baseTx-FD 100baseTx-HD 10baseT-FD 10baseT-HD flow-control
link partner: 1000baseT-HD 1000baseT-FD 100baseTx-FD 100baseTx-HD 10baseT-FD 10baseT-HD
ethtool:
Speed: 1000Mb/s
Duplex: Full
Also notice how for "1000baseT" it first reports HD then FD while
for all others it does it the other way around.
