(kinda show how few folks interest in SCTP actually)

Unless you meant upstream, IPv6 is supported by the Debian patch:
debian/patches/CVS-20070316-netstat.c_sync.patch
and causes amongst others:
tcp6 0 0 :::113 :::* LISTEN
tcp6 0 0 ::1:53 :::* LISTEN
tcp6 0 0 :::22 :::* LISTEN
tcp6 0 0 :::25 :::* LISTEN
tcp6 0 0 ::1:8953 :::* LISTEN
ESTABLISHED is reported fine too.

That is fine, if I find time (where would that come from ;), I'll try to create a patch and bug upstream about it.
Greets,
Jeroen
