This is great stuff, and I've reproduced the bug myself. What version
of NetHack did you initially start this game on? Was it 3.4.2? If not,
the problem might have been fixed in this version.

I'm also forwarding this to the devteam to see if they have any ideas
about this weird problem. Basically *u.ushops_entered is getting set on
certain random squares and it conjures up the "Welcome to Zlaw's
hardware store!" message again.

Either some stack frobbing or just some weird minetown could have caused
this?
