Package: nethack
Version: 3.3.0-7
Severity: normal

Nethack goofed up the death routine.

I killed a shopkeeper with a broken wand -- to nobody's surprise, I got sent
to the next dimension as well.

But that blasted shopkeeper took all my possessions when I died. Despite
his being dead.

Looks like a variable isn't being updated until the end of the turn, or
something, and Nethack's assuming the shop is still tended, since it will be
until the end of the turn. But since I died before that happened...

[Is this severity wrong? I mean, it doesn't affect the -play- of the game --
but damnit, Nethack got something -wrong-. Rightfully oughta be
release-critical. What would the public say...]

I've tested this bug with 3.4.2-1 in wizard mode, wished for a few wands
of death and broke them in a shop. Both of us died and the shopkeep did
not take my possessions. Hence, I'm closing it.

Thanks for reporting it!
