I agree that it would be better if it didn't fail.
The only option I can think of is not letting the prerm fail
using || exit 0 or something.
Anyway, since we shortly will only have 1 binary package using
the init script, this should mostly solve itself, but I have the
feeling the postrm will fail or something in case it's an upgrade
from an older version.
