[pkg-ntp-maintainers] Bug#476888: ntp: Use /etc/ntp/ directory for configuration files (Version control support)

Sat Apr 19 22:35:34 UTC 2008
Package: ntp
Version: 1:4.2.4p4+dfsg-3
Severity: wishlist
SUGGESTION: Easier VCS support
The NTP configuration is not stored at /etc/ntp.conf, which
unfortunately makes it difficult to put in in version control
separately, because Version Control Systems (VCS) operate on directory
basis.
Please consider moving the file to
/etc/ntp/ntp.conf
which would allod versioning the directory
/etc/ntp/
Separately from the rest of the /etc structure.
