Looking at the whole list of archs, none of them seems to match
anything close to kfreebsd, so it probably goes with the default, yes.

Although I looked at the configure script, I have no idea how the
value in $host resp. $host_alias is determined, but that's what
dpkg-architecture offers:
DEB_HOST_ARCH=kfreebsd-i386
DEB_HOST_ARCH_OS=kfreebsd
DEB_HOST_ARCH_CPU=i386
DEB_HOST_GNU_CPU=i486
DEB_HOST_GNU_SYSTEM=kfreebsd-gnu
DEB_HOST_GNU_TYPE=i486-kfreebsd-gnu
