Package: ntpdate
Version: 1:4.2.6+dfsg-1
Severity: wishlist

Compare the output of "ntpdate" and "openntpd -d", both used against the same server

t at h ~> sudo ntpdate -v ntp
28 Mar 14:45:41 ntpdate[3636]: ntpdate 4.2.6 at 1.2089-o Mon Feb 8 19:06:27 UTC 2010 (1)
28 Mar 14:45:41 ntpdate[3636]: no server suitable for synchronization found
t at h ~> sudo openntpd -d
ntp engine ready
reply from 83.221.148.2: not synced, next query 640s

ntpdate just says "no servers", while openntpd actually says why the
server could not be used. It would obviously be nice if ntpdate output
was as useful as openntpd output.
