[pkg-ntp-maintainers] ntptrace: Will you consider accepting a rewrite in C? Currently it is in perl.

  /usr/bin/ntptrace is a perl script. Will you consider accepting a rewrite in C?  Since, at least most of, ntp is C code, I think such a rewrite is desirable from your point if view.

  My immediate motivation is:

    $ ntptrace
    Can't locate Getopt/Std.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.12.4 /usr/local/share/perl/5.12.4 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.12 /usr/share/perl/5.12 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at /usr/bin/ntptrace line 6.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/ntptrace line 6.

  I think that is due to me deliberately having installed only perl-base.
