send-detail 599542 I fixed it by comment out 2 lines in /etc/ntp.conf are restrict -4 default kod notrap nomodify nopeer noquery restrict -6 default kod notrap nomodify nopeer noquery or just remove 2 options are "nopeer noquery" and then restart ntp, it allows peer querying as requested by ntpdate.
