I tried make_3.80+3.81.b3-1 and the build fails horribly.  Even if I
revert the changes by removing the debhelper.mk inclusion, it still fails
due to simple-patchsys.mk.  I think we are stuck anyway, at least until
Bug#342892 is fixed.
