For those loving bug hunting, here is a nice project for this un weekend:
understanding why the last version of octaviz is failing for on some
architectures. It built correctly on mips, mipsel, and s390, but failed
on alpha, ia64, powerpc, and sparc with the same error message:
cmake -DCMAKE_SKIP_RPATH:BOOL=YES .
[...]
Octave is required. Please install Octave and rerun cmake.
-- Configuring done
make: *** [cmake-stamp] Error 255
Strangely enough, the octave2.1_2.1.72 is always installed, since
octave2.1-headers is a build-dependency.
My knowledge of cmake is not significantly different from zero. If
someone could investigate the reason of this bug, I would appreciate.
