This is not directly related to the DOG, but I have been doing the same
mistake regarding the Octave packages.  This is easily fixed by using an
appropriate -e option to either dpkg-buildpackage or debuild.  Please, do
it in the future, in case you upload a package (for now, I am the only
one who is doing uploads, but I hope this will change in the future).
