Good news: glpk-shlib has been approved by the ftp-masters and entered
unstable yesterday. I am preparing a new release of octave2.9 which will
link against the libglpk0 library, which is a shared library.
This will close Bug#310226, the show stopper preventing octave2.9 from
entering testing. octave2.9 should be in etch before Christmas (if the
libfreetype6 mess is sorted out in time) and it will be a nice present
for the Debian users. It would be ideal if we complete by that time the
api-versioned project regarding octave-forge and the other packages.
Sort of off-topic: I would like to draw your attention to the Octplot
project, hosted at SourceForge
(http://sourceforge.net/project/screenshots.php?group_id=86268) which had
a new release yesterday:
http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=373294&group_id=86268
Anyone willing to package it?
