Eh, no. That was a stupid error from my side; octave-config is provided
by the octave2.1-headers package. Sorry, I'm used to have both
installed.

Is this the autobuilder chroot for unstable? Another m68k machine (or
even another chroot) is not helpful in this because the problem with the
chroots happened somewhere last year during the split of octave2.1 and
octave2.9.
