Hi, I just compiled 2.9 against ufsparse from http://people.debian.org/~prudhomm/debian/ (currently in NEW). As far as I can tell, it works without problems and all tests pass. I suggest switching to ufsparse as soon as the package enters unstable. The current libumfparse has not all features Octave can use. Thomas
