Bah, that's a packaging/dependency bug. etime() uses datenum(), but
takes the one from octave-forge instead of Octave 2.9.
Jan, short of uninstalling octave-forge, there's nothing you can do at
the moment for this. Packaging octave-forge for 2.9 is on our TODO list.
