octave2.9_2.9.8-1 failed to autobuild on the arm architecture with an
internal compiler error. The full log is at:

http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.php?&pkg=octave2.9&ver=2.9.8-1&arch=arm&stamp=1156892550&file=log&as=raw

and the error message is this:

/usr/bin/g++ -c  -fPIC -I. -I.. -I../liboctave -I../src -I../libcruft/misc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H  -Wall -W -Wshadow -Wold-style-cast -O0 -g0
./OPERATORS/op-i8-i8.cc -o pic/op-i8-i8.o
./OPERATORS/op-i8-i8.cc: In function óctave_value oct_binop_int8_uint16_ms_lt(const octave_base_value&, const octave_base_value&)':
./OPERATORS/op-i8-i8.cc:146: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html> for instructions.
For Debian GNU/Linux specific bug reporting instructions,
see <URL:file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.1/README.Bugs>.
The bug is not reproducible, so it is likely a hardware or OS problem.
make[3]: *** [pic/op-i8-i8.o] Error 1

If someone has access to an arm system to confirm the problem and
eventually fill a bug report against gcc, it will be appreciated. as the
error message above says, the problem may not be with gcc, but we must be
sure of that.

At any rate, this process will prevent octave2.9 and octave2.9-forge from
entering testing.
