The package currently in SVN is not very clean.  First, simple-patchsys
gives the warning:

/usr/share/cdbs/1/rules/simple-patchsys.mk:58: WARNING:  The following
patches are modifying auto-updated files.  Please exclude the following
files from your patch:
debian/patches/50_link_with_glu.patch:octplot-0.4.0/config.guess
debian/patches/50_link_with_glu.patch:octplot-0.4.0/config.sub

I think the complaint is justified.

Second, I get two lintian warnings:

W: octplot source: configure-generated-file-in-source config.log
W: octplot source: configure-generated-file-in-source config.status

Finally, several files end up in the diff.gz (this is not dramatic, but I
dislike that):

   config.h.in
   aclocal.m4
   tests/Makefile.in
   fonts/Makefile.in
   configure
   src/Makefile.in
   high_level/Makefile.in
   Makefile.in
   demos/Makefile.in
   config.log
   config.status
   Makefile

This happens because we run autoconf now.

Do you think you can address those problems?  If not, I will try to take a
look tomorrow.
