| Right, my question was, why was the previous method of creating a
| single 'forge package not good enough anymore? Size of the resulting
| package? Change in the pkg Octave scripts?
One of the big motivations for breaking up the Octave Forge
distribution into smaller packages is that at least some of us think
it is not a good idea to lump them all together and lead users to
believe that it is a good thing to just install all of Octave Forge
without realizing what they are getting. So at least I would really
prefer it if people who are doing package not undo that progress by
packaging all the Octave Forge packages in one all-or-nothing
package.
