Hi Marco, 

thanks for clearing up old bugs. I'm reopening it as maintainer. 

The reason we haven't closed that bug is that the leasqr functions are
in the yet-to-be-uploaded octave-optim package (ITP: #468515).

We will close this bug as soon as the octave-optim hits the archive.
