Well, the rat() and rats() functions are somehow related to output formats.
By the way, "help rat" says "See also: format" and format() has "rat" as a
possible option.

Yes, this would also apply to octave3.0-doc and octave3.0-htmldoc, since all
forms of documentation are generated from the same TeXinfo sources.
I am not sure this is a bug, though. If you really think it is, please
reply to this message with further arguments and I will forward the bug
report upstream.
